The new location is over 3500 sq ft and we will have one huge classroom that can be used as two different classrooms or one large one that can be used for the Knit-In. Which means no more re-arranging furniture! Of course, it also means lots more room for yarn! The new store is located in the northwest quandrant of May and Britton. Just right down the street from beautiful Lake Hefner and its great restaurants. Also Lake Hefner has a terrific playground that is perfect for leaving dad and kids while you shop! The new store has front and back parking and we will have seating under a covered patio! We'll be sending out e-mails with the location and exact time of moving probably by next week. We aimed to move by June 28 or 29 but due to construction we are now aiming for July 7th or 8th.

Jared Flood a.k.a. Brooklyn Tweed will be teaching knitting courses at The Gourmet Yarn Co. on September 18 &19.

For all of these classes, students must know the knit and purl stitches, be comfortable working with circular needles and knitting in the round. For the hat, students must be comfortable working with double points. Students should also know how to do the basic decreases k2tog, ssk, and center decs. Some of the classes have homework to do.
