This free class will teach the basics of how to use Ravelry. Topics covered will include how to add projects, adding pictures, and how to use the search engines.

Lady Eleanor Wrap

This project is great for those wanting to add entrelac to their grab bag of skills. Entrelac is a truly fascinating and fun technique that makes a finished garment look much more complicated than what it is. Lady Eleanor is knitted with striping yarn that creates the illusion that you are changing colors on each square. Also, there is no seaming! The squares are created by picking up stitches from another square.
Skill Level: The knitter needs to be proficient with the knit and purl stitch, basic decreases, and how to correct basic mistakes.

Puddin' Baby Raglan

We're looking for students to test drive MG's new pattern. Students will learn raglan sweater construction. A fun way to knit sweaters - no seaming! The class is free and supplies must be purchased from Gourmet Yarn. Three sizes available in this new baby sweater pattern and 4 test knitters are needed for each size. Sign up quickly.

Lace Sampler

This lovely lace scarf is a conglomerate of several patterns in the book, Knitting Lace, by Susanna E. Lewis - the handout of how to combine them is given to you by us. This project serves as a wonderful introduction to lace knitting.

If you are a beginner that has mastered the hat class and are able to knit and purl without concentration, then this scarf will take your knitting up a couple of notches.
The class introduces the knitter to -
*left and right decreases plus a double decrease
*recognizing the different slants in decreases and why they are used.

Beginner's Sock (classic methods)

In this class, each student will explore the construction of a basic sock. Techniques taught include working on double point needles, working in the round, heel shaping, picking up stitches, symmetrical decreases and kitchener stitch. Must be proficient in the knit and purl stitches.
